Otavio is known among his students for his incredible technique, his careful breakdown of every move, for his individual attention to each and every student, his eagerness to answer students questions, and for teaching everything he knows–never holding anything back from students.

He has been practicing the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since November 1999, always representing Gracie Barra, originally from Recife, Brazil. Professor Otavio is a Black Belt 3rd Degree under Master Carlos Gracie Jr and he has accomplished inumerous Championships. Otavio’s main accomplishments include; 6x World Champion – All Belts, 3X Black Belt World Champion, 4X Black Belt Pan American Champion,Black Belt NO-Gi World Champion, 5X Brazilian National Champion and ADCC Silver Medalist.
